The days are getting shorter, temperatures are dropping, and autumn is here. So perhaps it's time to take a look at your wardrobe, to face the coming season and cooler temperatures with style and elegance.
As with every new season, it's with great pleasure that we present our new fabric collections, in the colors and styles of the moment. Don't hesitate to contact us to create unique pieces, made to measure.
From Drago, Loro Piana, Vitale Barberis Canonico and Holland & Sherry, we've received over 400 new fabrics from traditional craftsmen to create your bespoke suits, jackets, coats, raincoats, pants and shirts.
Whether you prefer traditional, all-season fabrics, or thicker, more substantial ones, you'll always find a fabric to suit your personal tastes: plain, striped, check, yarn, herringbone, houndstooth, Caviar fabrics, etc.
As usual, these fabrics are available in limited quantities, so if you have a project, contact us now before they run out.
Style and Trends
While the 2010s saw a trend towards slim-fitting cuts, the trend of the future is clearly towards wider cuts, with an emphasis on comfort and fluidity. Jacket lapels are becoming wider, and 3-button jackets are beginning to appear on some catwalks. Shoulders remain relatively fitted and natural... don't worry, we're not yet at the "over-sized" cuts and square shoulders of the '90s.
Pants are also gradually widening at the thighs, with the darts reappearing and the waist going up a few centimetres.
The new materials are "technical", combining tradition (100% wool) and modernity, with interesting properties such as elasticity, stain resistance, exceptional crease resistance and more.
Under the influence of "street wear", the men's wardrobe is tending to "deform"; the tie is no longer an accessory to be worn at the office, like a "uniform item", but is once again becoming a stylish item, still appreciated by lovers of elegance, like the clutch bag, for example.
For your less formal outfits, the style is still "sprezzatura", that "worked nonchalance" so dear to Italian elegance. Our unstructured "Smart Casual" jackets have been created with this in mind, and are made with very supple interlining and no (or very few) shoulder pads. Italian class!
Combined with a Dolce Vita sweater, chino pants in cotton or simply mismatched in flannel wool, will be the ideal companion for your "Smart Casual" outfits, combining elegance and casualness.

Overshirt
In this spirit, the "overshirt" is becoming a must-have item this winter (and will probably remain so for the next few seasons). Halfway between a shirt and a jacket, it can be worn over a shirt for classic style, or over a turtleneck or T-shirt for a more casual look.
Customization possibilities are numerous, as are the fabrics available.

Blouson
Introduced for the first time this spring, the jacket is also a must-have this winter. They offer a more casual look, both dressy and casual. Our jackets are, of course, available made-to-measure and can be customized as you wish!
Custom berets by Monogramme
Thanks to the success of historical TV series such as Peaky-Blinders and Downton Abbey, certain pieces and accessories are making a comeback in men's wardrobes. This is particularly true of the beret.
Whether you opt for an Irish, English or "duckbill" cut, we can now make your beret to measure, in the fabric of your choice. More elegant than a beanie, the beret is a must-have this winter for protection from the coldest weather.

Ulster coat
Very popular in Victorian times, originally worn with a cape, this was a heavy coat, typically in tweed. Double-breasted, straight lapels, patch pockets with flaps, with a martingale, it is usually worn to the knee.
The Ulster Coat is very comfortable and practical for cold winters.
Raincoat
Whether raincoat or Balmacaan, there are many names for this coat, which is constantly changing style.
Our interpretation is based on simple lines and timeless elegance
The CABAN
The origin of the pea coat is most likely to be found in the navy.
There are a few variations, but the fundamentals remain the same. We remain faithful to the practical version of the pea coat: double-breasted, short, with wide lapels, a button under the collar and slanted side pockets.
The quilted lining ensures that this coat will stand up to the toughest storms!
"Gentlemen Wardrobe"
Elegant men's fashion also has its rules, or rather its imperatives, and we can't do without them. New fashions and trends sometimes impose themselves so strongly that we end up mistakenly believing that certain rules are outdated. Not so in the world of fashion, and especially not in the world of classic fashion.
To dispel any doubts, the Vitale Barberis Canonico woollen mill has decided to create a chapter devoted to recurring questions, so as to elucidate the problems that men's fashion can pose. A guideline for those who want to avoid making mistakes, especially on special occasions.
